Full Circle
2006
I wrote this story in 2006. It is about being exiled in England from one’s homeland and has a small connection to film because one of its inspirations was Tarkovsky’s Mirror, and also the analysis of the condition of exile in his Nostalgia. The Russian word for Mirror, when transliterated, is ‘serkalo’, and its sound triggered the title of the story.
