Guy Sherwin is a British film-maker who has been making experimental films since the early 1970s, having started among the cluster of experimental film-makers who launched their careers from the London Film Makers' Co-operative. In 2007, LUX brought out a DVD of his optical sound films which allows a retrospective view of Sherwin's originality and brilliance in this cinematic niche, and in 2010 'Messages' appeared with five works in a more meditative vein.
